Description

Stacking stone urns are designed to contain your special pet's ashes, be it a dog, cat, bird, mouse or any other creature large or small.

Each Stacking Stone comes with a stainless-steel disc for inscribing a special message. The stones are available in different sizes and colours. Stacking Stones take their shape from natural river stones and sit comfortably within the home or garden. The organic shape allows you to cradle the urn in your hand.

All materials are sourced locally, and urns are made with love and care in Melbourne, Australia by Karina Clarke.

Materials

The ceramic slip is a stoneware and fired to 1280 c. which vitrifies the material making it impervious to moisture. Incorporating the traditions of slip cast ceramic processes each piece is individually cast and every urn carries the distinct marking of being made by hand.

As the stones are made from slip cast porcelain and stains are added to the clay there may be colour variation from what you see on our website. Each stone will display the mark of being lovingly made by hand.

Care Instructions

Handle with Care

Seal Urn with disc using araldite or silicon.

 

The organic shape and size of the urns have been considered so they are easy to hold and tactile. The designs are discrete objects that give a presence to a felt, but not always visible, sentiment or realisation.
